♫ Taggin’ aint easy but its necessary!
So I’m chasin’ cuppies like Tom chases Jerry… ♫♪
One of my favorite cupcake-ers, Laurie over at Quirky Cupcake, has prompted me with a new tag called Favorites. Actually it was “Wednesday Favorites” but I am dollar and a day short so I’ll do the Thursday edition instead.
CB’s Thursday Favorites
-red, but I wear more blues… go figure *shrugs
-pizza or pasta
-non-alcoholic=ice cold water | alcoholic=caramel apple martini
-chex “crack” mix
-First thing that came to my head was “Superman” by Soldier boy. LOL
–CrazyDeliciousFood (yes, she pays me to promote her blog whenver possible! LOL)
-I ♥ my red KA mixer
-this is a trick question right? favorite and chore do not belong in the same sentence but I will tolerate vacuuming.
Frankly I’ve lost track of who’s already been tagged and in an effort to keep the double (triple) tagging to a minimum… Feel free to do your favorites too! if you are in my GR I’ll be sure to read, enjoy and comment. Have a nice Thursday!
I’ve been tagged again! (Get it? taggin… gangs… ba dum bum bing!)
Thanks to Rachel from Sugar Toppers for inviting me to join the game! Does everyone remember Rachel? She makes those uber fabulous lampwork cupcake necklaces that I won on Cupcakes Take the Cake contest!? Its my favorite piece of cupcake paraphernalia! Check out her blog and see her other great cupcake works.

1. I have not combed my hair in 3 days.
— I have straight black stringy hair practically down to my waist. I want to cut it but I don’t want to cut it. I wash it everyday but it goes straight into a bun. No comb needed! ;)
2. I currently have 15 post-its (in all different colors) stuck on my computer screen
— I write lots of post-its to remember things b/c my memory is crap. Just ask Nikki. Maybe this is why ppl tell me secrets. I end up forgetting them.
3. I have 3 blogs (IHC, I♥food and ?)
— The last one will remain a secret until its unveiling at a later time. If you know about it, keep your darn mouth ZIPPED. I honestly can’t remember who I’ve told. (See #2) haha.
4. I am really craving cheesecake right now. No I am not pregnant.
— Preferably a white chocolate vanilla bean cheesecake. Mmmm…
5. My perfect job would be a SAHB (stay at home blogger)
— Can someone make that happen for me? please please please… ;)
6. I never wear makeup
— Unless you count chapstick as makeup. Also I tend to rub my eyes alot so mascara is just not happening.
7. I got lasik about 3 years ago as a birthday gift from my parents
— I love it! I’ve worn glasses or contact since I was 7 years old. My eyesight is/was HORRIBLE. If you understand prescriptions then mine was -12 right -10 left. YIKES! I recommend it to anyone! Just do your research and find a reputable ophthalmologist. I still find myself neurotically reaching for non-existent glasses in the morning though. hehe.

I am currently in Course 3 – Fondant and Tiered Cakes – and I usually have a final exam cake at the end of every Wilton course but in this course we had a “midterm” cake of sorts. It’s practice for the final exam cake.
Fondant Bow Cake
I think it turned out uber cute! I love that tiffany blue color. (Sorry all my pink ladies… I decided to go blue vs the pink example. hehe) I could totally see “gift” cupcakes! Wouldn’t those be adorable? Hmm… T’s day is in a couple weeks. I bet he’d love red velvet gifts. :)
Even though I think fondant tastes yucky (jury is still out on the marshmallow fondant as a tastier alternative b/c I haven’t tried it yet), I love decorating with it! It’s so fun to sculpt and create 3d images with fondant compared to buttercream or royal icing IMO.
Also for your viewing pleasure… my fondant roses.
rosebud, medium rose and full rose
I was thinking maybe I could do a how-to video on the fondant rose. Would anyone be interested?

I graduated from Wilton Cake Class Course 2! I had my final exam cake tonight.
I think it turned out pretty darn good! I saw T eyeing it when I got home (I said the magic word – chocolate) but told him to “BACK AWAY FROM THE CAKE!” Its so purdy I don’t wanna eat it!
Can’t wait for Course 3… FONDANT!! ::rubbing hands together::

For the past 1-1/2 months I’ve been taking the Wilton Cake Decorating class at my local Michael’s craft store upon the recommendation of my good friend, NB. Since I do everything NB tells me to do, I signed up! ;)
Right now I am 3/4 way through Course 2 – flowers and borders – and my final exam is a cake next week. (I can’t wait til Course 3 – fondant!) From the beginning of the course we’ve been working on royal icing flowers in anticipation of decorating my final exam cake. Just wanted to share my progress…
Aren’t they purdy? I’ve learned how to make a rose, daffodil, daisy (my favorite!), pansy, chrysanthemum and some others that I can’t remember. Obviously I am not a gardner. I’d rather have my hands in powdered sugar than dirt. LOL
I definitely plan to put my new found flower decorating knowledge to good use for my FSIL’s bridal shower cupcakes. I can’t wait to see how everyone reacts when they realize that I made them myself!

You know you are coming up in the blogging world when you get tagged to do a meme/poll. (At least thats what I tell myself! LOL) So thanks, Laurie from the Quirky Cupcake for making me part of the cool kids club and inviting me to join the game! :)
What were you doing 10 years ago?
10 years ago… If I do my math right that would be 1997-1998. I was starting my first quarter of college and I met my future husband Dec 1998. But at the time we met I’d rather ring his neck than wear his ring. haha.
What were you doing 1 year ago?
January 2007. omg. I am seriously drawing a blank. Hmmm… probably planning our wedding. It was an all consuming thing. Probably why I can’t think of anything else during that time.
Five snacks you enjoy:
1. cupcakes (duh?!)
4. kettle chips
5. skinny cow caramel drumsticks
Five songs that you know all the lyrics to:
Spider pig, spider pig
Does whatever a spider pig does
Can he swing from a web? No he can’t, he’s a pig!
Look out! He is a spider pig.
Thats the extent of remembering lyrics to songs. 4 lines about a pig. I suck at lyrics. Let’s just say I tend to make up my own words when I can’t remember the actual song… and it happens quite frequently.
Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:
1. Take care of all of our family and friends for life (ditto Laurie)
2. Travel, travel, travel
3. Pay off our debt and buy a big farken house on the beach!
4. Start a business
5. Donate to my favorite animal rescues
Five bad habits:
1. Putting off doing the laundry til my husband tells me he has no socks left
2. Biting my nails when I get nervous or stressed
3. Procastinating ie slacker
Five things you like doing:
1. spending time with my hubs
2. baking/cooking (but not cleaning the dishes! ugh!)
3. writing in my blog(s)/internet-ing
4. playing with my bunnies
5. reading a good book
Five things you would never wear again:
2. skinny jeans (sadly, its not by my choice, damn freshman 50!)
3. side ponytails
5. bowl cut
Five favorite toys:
2. KA mixer
3. cupcake piping tips
4. navigation system in my car
5. ipod nano
Ready or not!?! You’ve been tagged!
Sue me!! I tagged 6 when its suppose to be 5, but I know April won’t do it. She’s a BU slacker. ;)
